Agreement And Eligibility
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Hinty and govern your access to the Hinty macOS application, hinty.app, and related services.
You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 in the EEA and UK, to use Hinty. If you use Hinty for a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Your Account
You are responsible for accurate sign-up information and for keeping credentials confidential. Notify security@hinty.app if you suspect unauthorized account access.
A Hinty subscription is for one individual user. Sharing an account or using it simultaneously from more than three Macs breaches these Terms. Team licensing is available by contacting hi@hinty.app.
Acceptable Use
Do not use Hinty to violate law, bypass academic-integrity policies that prohibit AI assistance, harass or impersonate others, distribute malware or phishing, infringe rights, or generate unlawful material.
Do not probe or attack our systems, attempt to extract prompts or proprietary code, use the service to build a competing AI product, or train a model on Hinty outputs.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules and may cooperate with lawful law-enforcement requests.
Plans, Billing, And Cancellation
Free includes 10 AI requests per day with no credit card required. Free does not include Invisible Mode or Meeting Mode.
Pro is $20 per month or $200 per year and includes Invisible Mode, priority response queue, and a daily fair-use safety limit of 500 AI requests.
Max is $39 per month or $390 per year and includes everything in Pro plus Meeting Mode, transcription, silent Q&A, summaries, attachments, early access to new features, and a daily fair-use safety limit of 1,000 AI requests.
Paid plans renew automatically monthly or annually unless canceled. You can cancel from Settings > Billing or from the Stripe customer portal link in your receipt. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
All prices are in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes, which Stripe calculates at checkout based on your billing address.
Refunds
Monthly plans are not refunded for partial months after a billing cycle begins.
Annual plans may receive a full refund within 14 days of original purchase or renewal when usage has stayed within light evaluation use. Where law allows, we may reduce or decline a refund for accounts that have materially consumed paid resources, including more than 50 AI requests, more than 60 minutes of Meeting Mode transcription, repeated refund requests, abuse, or policy violations.
If a refund is approved, paid access ends immediately and the account returns to Free. Statutory refund and withdrawal rights in your jurisdiction, including EU and UK consumer rights, apply in addition to this policy and are not limited by this section.
AI-Generated Content
Hinty uses third-party AI models. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or fabricated. You are responsible for verifying information before relying on it.
Hinty is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, tax, psychological, or safety advice. Do not use it as the sole basis for decisions with significant consequences.
Your prompts remain yours. To the extent we have rights in outputs you receive, we assign those rights to you for your own use. Outputs may be similar to outputs generated for others.
Intellectual Property
The Hinty name, logo, website, desktop application, source code, and documentation are owned by Hinty and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
We grant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Hinty for personal or internal-business use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works except where law prohibits that restriction.
Third-Party Services
Hinty incorporates providers such as Clerk, Stripe, OpenAI, Deepgram, Vercel, and Neon. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms.
We are not responsible for third-party acts or omissions, but we review provider privacy and security practices before integrating them. The Privacy Policy lists current subprocessors.
Copyright Complaints
If you believe content shared through the service infringes your copyright, send a notice with your signature, identification of the copyrighted work, the location of the material, contact information, a good-faith statement, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate.

Disclaimers And Liability
Hinty is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free answers, unique outputs, or suitability for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hinty will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms for future use of the service. If changes are material, we will give notice by email, in-app notice, or by updating this page before the change takes effect.
